Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit VS Australis AC ON TOUR Kit
So for all you girls who are wondering; which one of these palettes are better? Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit VS Australis AC ON TOUR Kit? Which one does the trick? Is the more expensive product better than the cheaper priced one? Hopefully I will be able to answer these questions for you based on my experiences with both products.
Firstly, it needs to be said that the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit is my holy grail. I personally use this on myself on a daily basis and it’s also something I use on almost every client of mine depending on their skin type. It is quick and easy to use allowing you to apply a soft contour, but at the same time allows you to build the contour to look heavier if that’s what you prefer. What I love most is however much you use, it does not make your skin look muddy and blotchy as this is common in most contour powders. Yes it is not as cheap as we would all like it to be, priced at $40US, and $55AU (this is based on 0.72 conversion rate), but for myself I would buy this over and over again as I believe that it is worth every cent. Not to mention that it will last you forever (don’t take that literally!) Ok, let’s move on…
For a cheaper alternative, look no further than the Australis AC ON TOUR kit (valued at $16.95 AU). This pretty much does the same thing as the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit. The shades are almost IDENTICAL. See the photo below for a comparison.
There is just one thing that differs from the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit and that is the pigment. Would you believe me if I said that there is more pigment in the AC ON TOUR kit than the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit? Well believe it because it’s true. See swatch below.
This can be a good thing and a bad thing. For those of you who aren’t too confident with contouring and highlighting your own face, this is a bad thing. One dip into the pan, and you have picked up so much product onto your brush that applying that to your face would be a disaster.
BUT in saying this, who has ever complained about too much of a pigmented product. NO ONE.
The reason why the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit works better for me is that I am able to build to a stronger contour if that’s what I feel like one day, but can also keep it natural and simple if that’s what I prefer to do on a different day. This is a bit harder to do with the AC ON TOUR kit as you need to be very careful with how much product you pick up onto your brush.
Okay, so to conclude this blog here are the answers you are looking for.
Which one of these palettes are better? Depends on how confident you are with applying your own contour. I would say the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit as you can control how much product you use.
Which one does the trick? – They both do in their own way.
Is the more expensive product better than the cheaper priced one? Again, they are both very good in their own way so this is a tricky question. If you had a big weekend and are low on cash, you will not go wrong buying the AC ON TOUR kit. If you just got paid and are looking for a wise investment, I would highly recommend the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit.
